Zagreb, Croatia: Panamanian Gianna Woodruff wins the final of the 400 meters hurdles
This is the last competition of the season for Gianna Woodruff, as announced by the Olympic Committee of Panama.
Panamanian Gianna Woodruff , seventh in the last Tokyo Olympics, won the final of the 400-meter hurdles at the Zagreb meeting on Tuesday with a time of 54.67 seconds.
Woodruff led the Ukrainian Anna Ryzhkova by 20 hundredths, fifth in the Japanese capital, second with a mark of 54.87, while the Jamaican Janieve Russell was third with a time of 55.45 seconds.
The 27-year-old Panamanian athlete, however, could not get close to her personal best of 54.20, which she signed on August 21 at the Diamond League meeting held in the US city of Eugene.
