With 741 new cases of COVID-19, Panama reaches 104,879 infections

Panama counts 741 new cases of COVID-19, raising 104,879 the total number of infections, according to the Ministry of Health.
In addition, the virus has claimed the lives of 16 people in the last 24 hours, leaving 2,229 the number of deaths from coronavirus in the country, which represents a case fatality rate of 2.1%.

According to the epidemiological report, of the active patients 22,179 are in home isolation and 497 are confined in hotels; while another 881 are hospitalized (725 in ward and 156 in intensive care).

To date, Panama reports a total of 79,093 clinically recovered patients.

The Minsa indicated that in the last 24 hours 5,434 tests were carried out, for a percentage of positivity of 13.6%.
