Meduca: "We already have more than 11,460 vaccinated teachers from the official and private sector, in the circuits where the vaccine began."
The Minister of Education (Meduca), Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, reported that as of this Monday the administrative staff of the private sector and the official, enter the vaccination process against
COVID-19.
"We have already been able to filter the number of administrators in each circuit and the administrators and teachers enter the vaccination process ... we are covering both sectors, since we need to guarantee from May 31 that they comply with the period of the first dose, second dose and stage of immunity, which the specialists talk about between 5 to 10 days,” said Gorday de Villalobos.
Regarding how many teachers are already vaccinated against
COVID-19, the head of Meduca expressed that there are more than 11,460 teachers vaccinated from the official and private sector, in the circuits where the
vaccine began, for example San Miguelito closed completely, Panama Centro will be closing the next few days, Panama East and Oste have already advanced”.
"Our proposal is to move forward with vaccination in Herrera and Los Santos, which is where we have the largest number of multigrade schools open, which have only one teacher and many do not have administrative staff," said Gorday de Villalobos.
He reiterated that the gradual return to blended classes will begin in 100 educational establishments, and in a period of three months it is expected to reach 500 schools.
