Every passenger leaving the province of Chiriquí must present, when boarding any flight, a negative COVID-19 test.
Starting today citizens, who will onboard any flight at the airport of the province of Chiriqui, they must submit a proof of being
COVID-19 negative.
"People who are going to leave the province through the Chiriquí air terminal are informed that they must be two hours before to take a test for the detection of
COVID-19 (Rapid test) or in their defect to present a negative test with 48 hours of validity", indicated this Saturday the Ministry of Health (
Minsa).
It indicates that in order to comply with this rule, this weekend a position was installed at the Enrique Malek airport, in Chiriquí, a position was swabbed from 7:00 am to 11:00 am during this Saturday; While on Sunday the tests will be carried out from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., this with the aim of making it easier for passengers who do not have done it previously.
He adds that in addition, a swabbing area will be enabled next to the judicial morgue of the Regional Headquarters of the
Minsa from 8:00 am to 10:00 am for people leaving the province.
In addition, random swab tests are being carried out at the Guabalá checkpoint and in Paso Canoas on everyone leaving for
Costa Rica.
"It is important to note that those who travel by land are announced that the Guabalá checkpoint will be randomly screened (temperature taken) and swabbed, while, at the Paso Canoas border, it is still running low. the same entry and exit provisions, both for nationals and foreigners, emphasizes the
Minsa.
It is worth mentioning that this new measure joins the others already established in the province of Chiriquí due to the increase in cases of
COVID-19, such as a curfew from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am and total quarantine, without working hours or mobility, from Saturdays at 8:00 pm to Mondays at 4:00 am.
