Atletas panameñas ya tienen rivales en pruebas de combate de los Juegos de Tokio 2020

Tokyo 2020: Panamanian combat athletes already know their fight schedules

Panamanian athletes Kristine Jiménez, Miryam Roper and Atheyna Bylon already know the path they have to travel, in their respective disciplines, at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

According to the information provided by the Olympic Committee of Panama (COP), the judoka Jiménez will face the Russian Natalia Kuziutina at the beginning of the qualifying phase of the 52 kg category. This fight is scheduled to begin at 9:00 pm (Panama time) this Saturday, July 24.

Roper will begin fighting on Sunday, July 25, at 9:00 pm, in the 57 kg category against South Korean Kim Jisu.

Meanwhile, boxer Bylon starts her participation on Tuesday, July 27, at 10:00 pm, in the round of 16 of the 75 kg category against Australian Catlyn Parker.

The Olympic Games open this Friday, July 23, and Panama competes with 10 athletes.

The first to participate will be the pedaling Christofer Jurado who will participate in road cycling, an event that will take place this Friday from 9:00 pm
