Tokyo 2020: Gianna Woodruff will run at 7:16 pm on Friday Panama Time
Panamanian athlete Gianna Woodruff will seek to qualify for the semifinals of the women's 400 meters hurdles at Tokyo 2020.
Panamanian athlete Gianna Woodruff will run in heat number three in the qualifying series of the 400-meter hurdles event of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The Olympic Committee of Panama confirmed that the Panamanian time of the competition will be at 7:16 pm this Friday (9:16 am tomorrow Saturday in Tokyo).
Woodruff will race in lane seven and in the same qualifying heat of the favorite for the gold medal, the American Sydney McLaughlin who holds the world record with a time of 51.90 and who will do it on line five.
Jamaican Leah Nugent, who has a record of 54.45, will also run in this qualifying heat.
The Panamanian runner has one of the best marks of the year, registering 54.70 at the Mount SAC / Golden Games, held in Walnut, California, United States.
Woodruff will be the first of four Panamanian athletics representatives at Tokyo 2020.
