The district of Tocumen, in the capital, exceeded 400 cases of coronavirus and ranks as the region with the most infections in the country.
In the last report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa
) , on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 6, this township registered 414 cases.
The second district with the most cases in the country continues to be Arraiján, in Panamá Oeste, with 344; and third on December 24, in Panama, with 265.
Health Minister Rosario Turner reported that they implemented a pilot plan to give more follow-up to those infected in Tocumen.
According to the latest official figures, Panama registers 7,731 cases of coronaviruses, of those 218 have died.
