Tocumen Airport tests integration of the digital affidavit

Passengers arriving in Panama will be able to fill out their digital affidavit by entering the portal.

The general manager of the Tocumen International Airport, Raffoul Arab announced that this Thursday, August 26, the integration test of the digital affidavit was carried out to speed up the entry of passengers through this tool.

The tool is being tested at this air terminal with the support of the Government Innovation Authority (AIG) and the Panama Tourism Authority.

It should be noted that this measure came into force since July 23 with the promulgation of Executive Decree No. 804 , which establishes measures for nationals, residents or foreigners who enter the Republic of Panama, as long as the State of Panama is maintained. National Emergency.

The Panamanian authorities reported that these are the steps to access the Digital Health Affidavit process:

- Each passenger must enter the portal and complete the digital form.
- Provide a photo of the result of your negative COVID-19 test taken up to 72 hours before your departure from the country of origin.
- Attach your vaccination card and hotel reservation, in case you pass quarantine in a concerted hotel.

It is added that when completing the application for the Digital Health Affidavit Process, each traveler will receive an email with a form and QR code through an attached PDF, which they must show upon arrival in Panama.

In another aspect, the AIG clarifies that "if the passenger is only in transit, they do not have to complete the Digital Health Affidavit process. In such case the traveler is a minor, their data will be completed in the request of the responsible adult in the trip".
