Three children rescued in the Ngäbe Buglé region after a complaint of alleged mistreatment and sexual abuse
The Naval Air Service detained and transferred the father of the 10, 11 and 13-year-old children, who is identified as the person who allegedly abused the minors.
The National Secretariat for Children Youth and Family ( SENNIAF ), reported the rescue of three children in the Region Ngäbe Bugle who allegedly were mistreated and sexually abused by her father, in the community of Penas Blancas in Alto Aguacate.
This intervention occurs after a public complaint that three children aged 10, 11 and 13 years "were receiving cruel treatment," reported Senniaf.
The entity coordinated an inter-institutional work that allowed the Air Naval Service to arrive yesterday, Saturday, May 1, in the mountainous area of the region to rescue the children who were fleeing from their parents.
The three minors were transferred in the AN-141 helicopter from Bocas del Toro to the Rubén Cantú airport and from there, by judicial order of the Public Ministry that is conducting the investigation, those affected were taken to the province of Chiriquí.
During the intervention, the Naval Air Service detained and also transferred the children's father, who is identified as the person who allegedly abused the children.
While a Senan vehicle took the children to the Regional Affairs offices located in the Province of Chiriquí.
Graciela Mauad, director of Senniaf, immediately ordered the protection of those affected who will be given psychological and social support, as well as a safe place for their protection.
He stressed "that if necessary, he will travel to the province of Chiriquí to personally attend to this case that affects a Panamanian family."
