Starting this week, vaccination against COVID-19 by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer will begin in various circuits in Chiriquí, Herrera, Los Santos, and Panama. The President of the Republic of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo, reiterated.
In circuits 4-2, 4-4, and 4-6, in Chiriquí, vaccination sweeps will be carried out from the age of 12; like the 6-1 in Herrera and the 7-2 in Los Santos.
Likewise, people residing in circuit 8-8 in Juan Díaz, and in 8-10, who are 16 years old and older, will be vaccinated with the first dose, through the same methodology.
While in circuits 6-1 and 7-2, second doses will be applied.
Those over 40 years of age, who reside in the town of Juan Díaz, may also apply the second dose.
The sweeps are vaccination days that are carried out in a specific place. According to statements by the President of the Republic of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo, sweeps will be carried out in different communities as more doses of vaccines arrive.
To date, 3.01 million doses have been applied, of which 2.27 are from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer and 507 thousand from AstraZeneca.
