The service on Lines 1 and 2 of the Panama Metro restored after power fluctuation

The Panama Metro indicated that it is coordinating with the electricity companies to restore service as soon as possible.
Service on Lines 1 and 2 of the Panama Metro was restored and normal after being suspended for several minutes.

Earlier, the Panama Metro reported that both lines were stopped due to external power fluctuations registered this Sunday afternoon.

The Electric Transmission Company, SA (Etesa) announced that around 03:48 pm (Panama time), the Regional Operating Entity reported an event in the Regional Electric System that caused an impact in the different countries.

He explained that in the case of Panama, "the protection systems acted correctly, thus anticipating major incidents."

However, it should be mentioned that due to the electrical failures registered this Sunday, the National Aqueduct and Sewer Institute (Idaan) reported that the Federico Guardia Conte de Chilibre water treatment plant decreased its production to 50%.
