Units of the Panama Fire Department carry out the rescue of several citizens from the Capira building, located on Calle P de San Miguel, in the Calidonia district; where a balcony collapsed.
The structure gave way around 3:15 in the afternoon when alerts are given and the institutions' emergency plans are activated. Several families were trapped since at the time of the collapse of the balcony they could not go down. It was the firefighters who carried out the rescue work for the reassurance of all those involved.
Ambulances from the Unified Emergency Management System (Add 911) were transferred to the place, indicated the Meritorious Fire Department.
As the minutes passed, it was reported that no injuries were reported, but there was a great scare for the people trapped on the fourth floor of the building, reported Sume 911.
