The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), issued a warning of prevention, due to the rains with electrical activity and possible gusts of winds over Panama.
This bad weather system will be registered in the provinces of Coclé, Los Santos, Herrera, Veraguas, Darién,, Panamá Oeste (from Arraiján to San Carlos); Panama (San Miguelito, capital city, Chepo and Chimán).
Likewise, Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro, Colón, the Panamanian Caribbean and Pacific maritime sector and the Ngäbe Buglé, Emberá Woünaan (areas # 1 and # 2), Guna Yala regions.
Carlos Rumbo, director of Sinaproc, asked the public for prudence and to follow the recommendations of the authorities, such as:
-Get away from trees and power lines
-Under bad weather conditions, tributaries or streams may rise, do not cross.
-Drive with caution, do not try to cross streams or walking or by car.
-Establish an evacuation route for any emergency.
-Do not use the landline or mobile phone, lightning can reach the outside (air) phone line during the storm.
