These new doses will allow health authorities to carry out vaccination sweeps in different provinces of the country.
Panama received this Tuesday the first largest batch of the
COVID-19
vaccine from the pharmaceutical house
Pfizer consisting of 363,870 doses through the bilateral agreement.
This is the twenty-fourth batch of this pharmaceutical house that Panama receives.
According to the Ministry of Health (
Minsa), this new batch will reinforce the vaccination day that will begin this Wednesday, July 21 through the sweeping modality in the circuits on 8-7 and 8-8 of the Metropolitan Region of Health and in the interior of the country on circuits 2-1, 4-1, 6-2,6-3, 9-2 and 9-4.
Also from this Wednesday, July 21 to 25, the vaccination will begin by sweeping the first doses in ten townships of circuit 2-1 in Penonomé, distributed in 31 vaccination centers. In addition, those over 12 years of age with chronic diseases or some degree of certified disability will be vaccinated in Don Bosco, Parque Lefevre, Rio Abajo and 8-7, in the townships of San Felipe, Ancón, Bella Vista, Bethania, Calidonia, Curundú , El Chorrillo and Pueblo Nuevo.
The batch was received by the Vice Minister of Health, Ivette Berrío, who added that simultaneously, from July 21 to 25, it will begin with the application of the first dose with
Pfizer in circuits 6-2, from Herrera, which includes Los Pozos, Parita , I weighed; circuit 6-3 corresponding to the Mines, Ocú, Santa Maria; circuit 9-2 that includes La Mesa, Las Palmas, Soná, and 9-4 that includes Atalaya, Manato and Rio de Jesús in Veraguas.
