In the last 2 years, the Humanitarian Hub mobilized 2,266 tons of aid, with a value of 40.3 million dollars, to 44 countries in Latin America.
A total of 2,266 tons of humanitarian aid mobilized the Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance (CLRAH), in the last 2 years, this was announced by Janaina Tewaney Mencomo, Minister of Government ( Mingob ).
The Mingob indicated that the tons of aid distributed had a value of 40.3 million dollars to 44 countries in Latin America.
Of these, 872.6 tons with an amount of 26.6 million dollars destined to the fight against
Covid-19, exceeding by 147% with respect to the mobilization of humanitarian cargo carried out in 2019 in the last 24 months.
Tewaney Mencomo added that the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) that manages the Panamanian warehouse of the Humanitarian Hub was very active in the battle against
Covid-19, supporting the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) in the traceability process and at the same time providing helps nationals affected by disasters like hurricanes Eta and Iota.
