The first biofence is installed in the David district
Given the concern about the contamination of rivers and streams, the Municipality of David, province of Chiriquí, installed the first biofence in the district.
The biofence, which is made of recycled material and was manufactured with 622 bottles, is about 20 meters long and is located in the Barro Blanco ravine.
This stream feeds the well-known Lake Baruco, it will allow to retain the garbage and waste preventing them from reaching the coasts and seas, conserving the biodiversity in the district.
