Teenager sentenced to 24 years in prison for murder of a Senan corporal
The body of the second corporal of the Senan was found handcuffed around a tree, in the community of Tataré, Pacora, in April 2018.
An adolescent was sentenced to 24 years in prison for the crime of aggravated homicide, to the detriment of a second corporal of the National Aeronaval Service (Senan), the Public Ministry of Panama (MP) reported on Tuesday.
The decision was made by the Superior Court for Children and Adolescents, after resolving the appeal presented by the First Superior Prosecutor's Office for Adolescents, before the acquittal that had been issued by the Court in the first instance.
For the first time, in the juvenile criminal jurisdiction of the metropolitan area, a sanction of 24 years is obtained for an adolescent for the crime of homicide.
The MP indicated that the incident occurred on April 20, 2018, when the victim was stripped of his taxi, which was later used to commit a robbery in a minisuper, located in Santa Isabel, Pacora district.

Preliminary investigations were carried out by the Ninth Subregional (Pacora and San Martín) of the Primary Care Section of the Metropolitan Prosecutor's Office, in conjunction with the Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ) and the National Police.
