El dirigente aconsejó a las autoridades arreglar las escuelas que están enfermas

Teacher Leader Moreno: We are not going to get the Astrazeneca vaccine – we are not guinea pigs

The teacher leader of Panama, Humberto Moreno stated that the intention of the teachers is not to oppose the return to the classrooms in person, highlighting that what they request is greater safety for children, parents and the educational community in general.
Despite the fact that the teaching unions request an exact vaccination date for them, Moreno assured that they will not receive the AstraZeneca vaccine, in view of the news that has emerged about its effectiveness and consequences.

We are not going to get that AstraZeneca vaccine because we are not going to be guinea pigs, the teacher warned.

Moreno added about the project being carried out by the government called "Safe School", that the authorities must confirm that these really must be reopened safely, thoroughly and properly, also noted that schools should be cleaned and disinfected.

Regarding virtual classes, Moreno stressed that those who have really sacrificed are parents and teachers, who are working with their nails, because the Government has not invested in technology and has not delivered the guides on time.

The leader explained that the Government should take advantage of the fact that they have not yet entered the schools in person to repair the 895 schools that do not have electricity and the 1,400 that do not have water. There are more than 3,000 schools that are "sick", Moreno concluded.

Finally, the teacher advised the Government to stop certifying schools for the sake of certification, just do things right.

Any vaccine - it does not matter who delivers - is for guinea pigs.
