The Minister of Health of Panama, Luis Francisco Sucre referred to the summons before the National Assembly to answer questions on vaccination coverage against COVID-19, number of deaths and evolution of the virus, among other points.
According to
Sucre, he was recently notified and the date of his appearance was February 1, 2021, however, they sent a note to the (Legislative Chamber) requesting that it be postponed to February 4, since they have a meeting with PAHO (Pan American Health Organization), to see the part of the
vaccines.
The Minister of Health added that they have already opened the space in the agenda, since everyone will understand that as the situation is they really have countless meetings.
It should be noted that on January 11, the banks in the Assembly approved to summon together with
Sucre the Ministers of Economy and Finance, Héctor Alexánder, and Chancellor
Erika Mouynes.
