Sinaproc maintains monitoring and green alert in Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro and Comarca Ngäbe Buglé

The Emergency Operations Centre remains in monitoring and surveillance before the possibility of flooding of rivers and landslides due to the constant rains, says Sinaproc.
The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), reported that due to the constant rains that are registered in the provinces of Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro and the Ngäbe Buglé Comarca, the preventive green alert will remain in force for monitoring rivers and streams.

According to the Forecasting and Surveillance Management of the Electric Transmission Company SA (Etesa), the cloudy conglomerates with intermittent rains will persist over the Panamanian isthmus until April 18, 2021.

The Emergency Operations Center remains on guard against the possibility of river flooding and landslides.

The green alert was declared by Sinaproc on April 15 due to the overflowing of rivers due to the intensification of rains.
