Sinaproc lowers red and yellow alerts in some provinces to preventive green
Sinaproc reported that, according to Etesa's Hydrometeorology, weather conditions in the country have improved.
The National Civil Protection System ( Sinaproc ) of Panama lowered the red and yellow alerts issued for some provinces due to heavy rains to preventive green.
In the province of Bocas del Toro a red alert had been declared, while in the provinces of Chiriquí, Coclé, Colón, Los Santos, Veraguas, Herrera and the Ngäbe Buglé region a yellow alert.
According to Etesa's Hydrometeorology, the weather conditions in the country have improved, however, Sinaproc asked citizens to follow the recommendations through official accounts.
The entity indicated that the National Emergency Operations Center will continue to monitor, especially due to the saturation of soils and increased rivers in the country.
More than 5,000 people were affected by the recent rains in these sectors of the country.
