Sinaproc issues strong waves and rip currents warning in the Pacific
The preventive warning for strong waves in the Pacific issued by Sinaproc will be in force until May 22.
The National Civil Protection System ( Sinaproc ) issued a warning of prevention due to strong waves , choppy seas and rip currents in the Pacific, until May 22.
According to a hydrometeorology bulletin from Etesa, this bottom sea will move from South America towards the coasts of Central America.
Sinaproc warned that rainy events and thunderstorms will occasionally be generated.
The areas under warning are Darién, Panama Oeste, Coclé, Herrera, Comarca Guna Yala, Veraguas, Los Santos, Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro, Gulf and Panama Bay.
The Sinaproc recommended that citizens follow the instructions and signs of the lifeguards, avoid walking on the beach, do not carry out recreational activities at sea, fix the boats in protected areas with high waves, remove the furniture and equipment from the beach area.
