Sinaproc issues rain prevention notice until Monday, August 23
The transit of Tropical Wave # 29 over the center and east of the country will be favoring the registration of rainy events, indicated Sinaproc.
A warning prevention by rains was issued Saturday by the National Civil Protection System ( Sinaproc ).
It details that the transit of Tropical Wave # 29 over the center and east of the country will be favoring the registration of rainy events.
Faced with this, moderate to strong downpours are expected, especially towards the center and west of the country, during this Sunday, August 22 and Monday, August 23, according to data from the Hydrometeorology Management of the Electric Transmission Company SA (Etesa).
Also in both slopes could be presenting choppy seas; so the Sinaproc recommends following the precautionary measures during this weekend.
It also urges to follow the following recommendations:
Stay alert to releases from official sources.
Stay in a safe place.
Don't risk your life trying to cross streams.
Avoid driving at high speeds.
If it is raining, avoid visiting rivers and beaches.
Sinaproc indicated that the emergency lines are enabled: 520-4429 / 9-1-1 for citizens to make reports.
