Sinaproc has carried out more than 1,200 operations in 2021
The months with the highest volume of work for Sinaproc were June, July and August due to the rains.
The National Civil Protection System ( Sinaproc ) has carried out more than 1,200 operations so far this year.
According to the records of the National Emergency Operations Center (COEN), these have been for prevention, emergencies, disaster mitigation, search and rescue, pre-hospital care cases, evacuations due to floods, among others.
The months with the highest volume of work for Sinaproc staff have been June, July and August, due to the rains.
In August, landslides were the most reported incidence, but in general, Sinaproc operations have also contemplated the inspection of trees and removal due to falling trees on roads and in homes. With these operations, it was possible to avoid loss of human life and prevent vehicular accidents.
Another of the works carried out by the entity was the assistance and inspection of structures and houses, as well as their respective evacuation, this mainly in Chiriquí, Panama, Panama Oeste, Colón, Coclé and Herrera.
