Sinaproc alerts about increased rainfall for the next few days

Given the increase in rainfall over the national territory, Sinaproc issued a warning of prevention.
The National System of Civil Protection of Panama ( Sinaproc ) issued a Notice of Surveillance and Monitoring on Tuesday due to the increase in rainfall and electrical activity on the national territory.

"The Hydrometeorology management of the Electric Transmission Company (Etesa) SA, foresees that the Intertropical Convergence Zone and the Low Pressure System of Panama could generate rainy events in the coming days," Sinaproc said in a statement.

The entity also indicates that the National Hurricane Center (NHC) activated surveillance protocols on the coasts of the Central American Caribbean in the face of a low possibility of a tropical cyclonic formation and whose probabilities so far are: 0% in 48 hours and 20% for the next five days.

Faced with this situation, Sinaproc, through the National Emergency Operations Center (COEN), maintains monitoring and surveillance in areas vulnerable to floods and landslides and asks the population to avoid risky situations.
