Sectors of West Panama will be without water this Thursday due to maintenance work
The suspension of operations of the La Chorrera water treatment plant will last until 2:00 pm, the Idaan indicated.
Several sectors of the district of La Chorrera, in the province of Panamá Oeste, will remain without the supply of drinking water this Thursday, August 19 due to electrical maintenance work that will be carried out at the Jaime Díaz Quintero water treatment plant .
As reported by the National Aqueducts and Sewers Institute ( Idaan ), the works will take place from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
The areas affected by the suspension of the water supply are: La Chorrera, the Juan Demosthenes Arosemena district, Ciudad Futuro, Cerro Tigre, Chapala, and the Vista Alegre district.
According to the Idaan, once the works are completed, the Jaime Díaz Quintero water treatment plant will maintain its production at 100% and the system will be gradually recovering in the affected areas.
The authorities indicate that the objective of these tasks is to optimize the production process of the water treatment plant.
After the announcement, users of social networks expressed their dissatisfaction with the constant lack of supply in these areas of the country.
