Second shot of vaccination to people over 60 years in circuit 8-8 begins Monday

As of this Monday, April 12, the vaccination process against covid-19 is resumed in circuit 8-8 with the application of the second dose to those over 60 years of age and the first dose to pregnant women and educators who work in this circuit, recalled the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

The Minsa reported that it is expected to vaccinate against covid-19 about 45,000 people in this circuit.

People with disabilities in the 8-8 circuit who received their first dose of the covid-19 vaccine at the Omar Recreational Park will receive the second dose at the 20-30 Vaccination enabled in the Irving Saladino sports city, in the Juan Díaz district.

These people, said the Minsa, will generate an appointment, which can be verified through the site vacunas.panamasolidario.gob.pa/verificate, or through line 177.

Pregnant women must register on the vacunas.panamasolidario.gob.pa platform, present their control card and an authorization from their doctor to receive their doses against covid-19, highlighted the Minsa.

The Minsa asked the population to apply their second dose to attend in order and at the time that corresponds to them to avoid crowds.

Older adults should go to their vaccination centers for breakfast or lunch according to the time and day of their appointment, they are recommended to wear loose clothing, hydrated, take their medications and keep biosafety measures.

The vaccination day against covid-19 will begin at 7:00 am in the same vaccination centers used in the first phase.

- Río Abajo: State of Libia School, Caipi Villa Lorena, while in the Juan Díaz district: Elena Ch. De Pinate School, Carmen Solé B. School, Roberto Durán Gymnasium, José M. Torrijos School and the República de Guatemala School.
- Don Bosco: IPT Don Bosco, Villa Catalina School
- San Francisco: Isabel Herrera de Obaldia Professional School and Belisario Porras School.
