Sanitary fences of Capira and Chepo are lifted, checkpoints remain

As of this Wednesday, February 17, the sanitary fences located in Panama and West Panama will be lifted, and in their place a checkpoint will be established.
These are the fences at the National Police Station in the district of Chepo, and that of the El Lago spa, in the district of Capira.

This decision of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), was taken before the decline in cases of covid-19 in recent weeks.

The entity clarified that all national health control posts will be maintained and covid-19 tests will be carried out randomly.

Control posts, according to Decree 74 :

- Divisa in Herrera
- La Villa in Los Santos
- Chagres in Colón
- Viguí in Chiriquí

To date, Panama counts 333,251 cases of coronavirus and accumulates 5,655 deaths.
