The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) reported this Thursday on the collapse of a section of the San Andrés - Santa Cruz - Dominical - Caisán highway, in the province of Chiriquí.
MOP details that the collapse occurred as a result of the rupture of a conduction pipeline of the San Andrés hydroelectric plant, in Cañas Blancas, specifically in the main axis of the town of Dominical, district of Renacimiento.
"The Ministry of Public Works is taking the pertinent steps to request the San Andrés hydroelectric plant to completely repair the section of the pavement, since the road is currently closed," adds the MOP.
