A group of rescuers from the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) remains in search of at least 13 people who were reported this Sunday as missing in the province of Veraguas.
These are people who were surprised by the strong current after the flood of the Bejuco River in Calovebora, while they were sleeping.
Carlos Rumbo, director of Sinaproc indicated that they are in coordination with the National Aeronaval Service (Senan), since being an area of difficult access, land transfer is difficult and the rivers are flooding, so the use of boats was ruled out.
For this Sunday the authorities warned of the passage of a new tropical wave. Showers with electrical discharges are expected in different parts of the country in the morning and afternoon.
