Reopening of Panama economy will occur in three groups
Despite the fact that the Government has not announced an exact date to start the economic recovery in the country, a protocol is already contemplated where the opening would be carried out in stages in 3 groups, according to business activity.
The plan will force companies to adopt new health protocols in order to protect people from the spread of the virus that has affected everyone.
The reopening will also reactivate thousands of jobs that have been suspended due to the emergency period.
The first group to be reactivated includes the immediate opening of national online sales departments with home deliveries (e-commerce in general); hardware and technical services or workshops and spare parts in general, fishing and aquaculture, agricultural sector (currently suspended), non-metallic mining, construction and real estate; and the industry.
The reactivation of these activities would impact a large number of jobs, since the agricultural sector generates 193,625 jobs, construction 172,877 jobs, Non-metallic mining 7,467 jobs, Real Estate 14,368 jobs, and Industry 144,786 jobs.
