Los sistemas de frente frío en Centroamérica y Colombia provocarán lluvias y condiciones ventosas para Panamá

Rain and strong waves forecasted for Caribbean from December 25 to 27

The Department of Hydrometeorology of Etesa reported that from December 25 to 27 in various regions of Panama moderate to heavy rains and considerable waves are expected for the Caribbean sector, for which they issue the warning for light boats and bathers.
As detailed by the meteorologist Emanuel Velásquez from 25 to 27 of 2020, a very unstable atmosphere remains over the Centromérica region, which is the product of the approach of a cold frontal system which is reactivating other atmospheric events that precede them. We are talking about the prefrontal trough that extends from the Republic of Panama to the cold front in the same way an instability line called the share line that extends from the Bahamas to Nicaragua.

In addition, the meteorologist indicated that the cold front in Colombia will cause cloudiness and windy conditions for this sector of the neighboring country to the southern nation.

Enough rains are expected in the provinces of Coclé, the high and lowlands of Chiriquí, the Center and South of Veraguas, West Panama and Panama; and with less intensity in Los Santos and Herrera.

The strong waves will occur due to the wind produced by cold fronts and in the Caribbean they could range between 5 and 6 feet in height. For the Pacific sector, conditions are forecast as favorable.
