The total quarantine measure on Sundays in several districts of the country is implemented due to the increase in cases of COVID-19.
The head of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), Luis Sucre, announced the establishment of a total quarantine on Sundays, without working hours or mobility, in several districts in which there has been an increase in positive cases of COVID-19, measure that will take effect from next June 27.
Colon province
"A total quarantine will take effect on Sundays for the district of Colón on June 27, this due to the sustained and abrupt increase that we have seen in recent days in this part of the province," explained the Minister of Health.
He added that the curfew measure is maintained from 12:00 mn to 4:00 am and the closing of commercial premises at 10:00 pm, in the rest of the districts of the province of Colón.
Los Santos Province
Likewise, a total quarantine will be implemented on Sundays in the districts of Las Tablas, Macaracas and Los Santos as of June 27.
The curfew measure will be extended from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am and the closing of shops at 9:00 pm in the rest of the province of Los Santos.
The districts of Pedasí and Pocrí are exempt from this measure, where the curfew will be maintained from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.
Herrera province
The total quarantine measure is established on Sundays in the Chitré district, without working hours.
The curfew will be maintained from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am and the closing of shops at 9:00 pm in the districts of Chitré, Parita, Ocú and Pesé.
On the other hand, the districts of Santa María, Las Minas and Los Pozos, are exempt from these measures and will maintain the curfew from 12:00 to 4:00 a.m.
