Preventive detention issued to alleged murderer of woman found in septic tank
The victim had been reported missing on August 24. The alleged perpetrator of the blood act was her romantic partner.
The precautionary measure of preventive detention was imposed on a 58-year-old man for his involvement in the murder of a 23-year-old Nicaraguan girl, Elizabeth Guillén, who was his romantic partner. The defendant was charged with femicide.
The victim was found dead inside a septic tank located in a vacant lot in Chepo Cabecera.
According to the authorities, the victim, who lived in Nuevo Tocumen and was reported missing on August 24, died after receiving several blows to the back.
After murdering her, he placed a bag on her head and tied her hands and then threw her into a latrine, where she was found by the authorities on September 30.
The septic tank was behind the dental laboratory where the defendant works as a dentist. He could be sentenced to 25 to 30 years in prison.
