Establishments that want to increase their capacity to 100% must guarantee entry of only people vaccinated against COVID-19.
The President of the Republic of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo , announced that this Wednesday he will sign a decree that will allow the capacity to be increased to 100% in businesses that only admit people vaccinated against
COVID-19.
Cortizo said that in the case of restaurants, bars, discos or dances that want to increase their capacity to 100%, they must guarantee that customers present their vaccination card or QR code.
These establishments will be supplied with a "sticker" that will indicate "100% vaccinated."
"What we do not want with those establishments that are 100% committed is for an inspector to arrive and find unvaccinated people, because obviously we are going to have to close, even a dance, and then they are subject to a series of sanctions," he warned the mandatary.
He explained that the capacity option will be maintained with 50% of vaccinated and unvaccinated, where it must also guarantee a distance of two meters and tables of no more than 8 people.
