President Cortizo sanctions law that regulates the medicinal and therapeutic use of cannabis in Panama
Through this law, a regulatory framework is created for the use and monitored and controlled access of medicinal cannabis.
The law through which the medicinal and therapeutic use of cannabis and its derivatives is regulated in the Republic of Panama, was sanctioned by President Laurentino Cortizo.
Through this law, a regulatory framework is established for the use and monitored and controlled access of medicinal cannabis; for therapeutic, medical, veterinary, scientific and research purposes, in the national territory.
On the other hand, President Cortizo announced that he sanctioned other "important laws, so that all Panamanians and Panamanians continue to work together, for the benefit of our country."
Among the other laws passed is the one that creates the Program for Graduates in Pro of Reforestation in Panama, through which students are made aware of the causes and consequences of climate change and encourage their active participation in reforestation activities.
Likewise, he mentioned the law that creates the National System for the Registration of Sex Offenders; and the law that establishes the management, treatment and reuse of water in car wash stations, encourages the conservation of water used in car washes, by capturing rainwater and reusing it.
Also the law that modifies Law 23 of 2017 and Law 9 of 1994, in order to recognize the retroactive payment of the seniority premium to career public servants as of the effective date of Law 23 of 2017.
