President Cortizo: action against offending officials will be based on "evidence"
The president of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo said this Thursday that he will not make decisions based on pressure but based on evidence, after the questions made by the government's passivity after the faults committed by officials to the health restrictions in previous days when participating in a party in a restaurant in Obarrio.
This is not a lynching process; justice is for everyone. In the case of the restaurant, with the report that I received, the officials have already made their positions available, in other words they have resigned, said Cortizo.
Regarding the case of the Minister Minister of Public Health, Eyra Ruiz, who participated in a massive funeral of a member of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD), the president indicated that this Thursday he will receive a report on the Directorate of the Health Region of that sector.
My question is always when something like this happens that is there something to verify what resolution or decree was violated, and I can't act on a matter that is not based on evidence, concluded Cortizo.
