President Cortizo appoints Héctor Brands as new director of Pandeportes

Héctor Brands is a deputy of the Republic for the 8-7 circuit (2019-2024). He has served as president of the Education, Culture and Sports Commission, and as a representative of the National Assembly in the National Council of Physical Activity, Sports and Recreation of the Panamanian Institute of Sports.
The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo , appointed Héctor Brands Córdoba on Wednesday as the new general director of the Panamanian Institute of Sports (Pandeportes).

Héctor Brands will replace Eduardo Cerda Quintero in the position of general director of the Panamanian Institute of Sports

Brands is currently a deputy of the Republic for the 8-7 circuit (2019-2024). He has served as president of the Education, Culture and Sports Commission, and as a representative of the National Assembly in the National Council of Physical Activity, Sports and Recreation of the Panamanian Institute of Sports.

The Presidency of the Republic details that Brands Córdoba has a degree in law and political science, has a diploma in senior management from INCAE Business School, is and is the founder and executive director of the New Generation Social and Cultural Movement.

He is also the founder and general coordinator of the Barrio Mundial, founder and coordinator of the “Champions Kids” sports tournament; and has worked in the National Commission for Free Competition and Consumer Affairs, in the National Directorate of Migration and the General Directorate of Customs.
