President Cortizo announced that one of the requirements to enter the fairs will be the complete vaccination scheme against covid-19.
Panamanian President Laurentino Cortizo announced this Friday, October 22, that in 2022 fairs will be held in the country under biosecurity measures due to the
covid-19 pandemic.
" The fairs of the country in 2022 that are prepared, the fairs of the country are preparing, they are preparing, " said President Cortizo from an act at the Soná Fair, in the province of Veraguas.
Cortizo said that this announcement is due to the progress in the immunization strategy against
covid-19 in the country.
He explained that personnel from the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) and the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA) will contact the boards of the fairs to meet a series of requirements.
One of the entry requirements to the fairs, Cortizo said, will be the complete vaccination scheme, through a QR code or vaccination card.
