Police investigates the execution of 3 young men in Chiriquí
Members of Senafront in the province of Chiriquí presume that it could be a settling of accounts after a drug deal gone wrong.
The Public Ministry of Panama launched an investigation after the discovery of three young men who were executed in the community of San Bartolo de Puerto Armuelles, in the province of Chiriquí.
According to preliminary reports, they are three cousins between the ages of 18 and 25.
Residents of the place heard detonations and a vehicle in this secluded area that does not have lights.
Members of the National Border Service ( Senafront ) presume that the incident is linked to the seizure of more than 398 kilos of drugs that occurred this Saturday.
It could be a score settling.
Personnel from the Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ) and the Public Ministry arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.
According to the statistical report of the Public Ministry, from January 1 to March 31 there have been more than 130 homicides in Panama.
After the acts of violence registered in recent weeks in different parts of the country, they ask the authorities to reinforce security in the different provinces.
