The Public Ministry initiated an investigation for the alleged commission of the crime of child abuse.
The Public Ministry began an ex officio investigation on Tuesday, after two minors were rescued inside a parked car, while their parents were playing in a casino, in a commercial plaza located in La Cabima, North Panama.

According to MP, the investigation carried out by the Family Section of the Metropolitan area is for the alleged commission of the crime of child abuse.

The units of the National Police were alerted to the situation after a complaint to No. 104 that two minors, 4 and 8 years old, were inside the running vehicle.

The rescue operation was carried out by the Meritorious Fire Department of Panama, the National 911 Emergency System, the National Operation Center and the Police for Children and Adolescents.

The parents of the minors were transferred to the citizen service room so that the case could be referred to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
