Se definieron días específicos de compras para hombres y mujeres.

Panama will implement purchases by gender and extends total quarantine to stop the increase in COVID-19 cases

Just three days after the extension of the curfew and weekend quarantines was announced, the Ministry of Health of Panama reported this Friday on even stricter measures to stop the increase in infections by coronavirus.
As of Monday, December 21, the restriction of entry to commercial premises by gender will be implemented on specific days, detailed below.

- 21st, 23rd, 28th and 30th are the days in which women will be able to go shopping in retail stores
- 22nd, 24th, 29th and 31st the men go out for their purchases.

It was requested that only essential exits be made and avoid crowds; workers were also asked to make trips from home to work and from work to home to avoid unnecessary exposures.

In addition, mobility is prohibited on December 25 and January 1, 2021. At this point, the Minister of Health Luis Francisco Sucre, explained that the quarantine would start from December 24 with a curfew from 7:00 pm and would be held on the 25, 26, 27, until 5:00 am on Monday, December 28. The same would apply from December 31 when the 7:00 p.m. curfew begins, from where the quarantine practically begins to continue on days 1, 2, 3 and until 5:00 a.m. on January 4, 2021.

Sucre added that the health system and the government will remain vigilant of epidemiological figures, to make the necessary evaluations and analysis and to be able to make new decisions.

Every day is different from the other, therefore the decisions will have to vary, the increase in infections will continue to be evaluated and, if necessary, other measures are taken if necessary for the health of Panamanians, they will be announced. We have little to do, let's make the last efforts as a country and as a single team, until the vaccine arrives, emphasized the minister

This Thursday and Friday, Panama had a record of cases by reporting more than 3,000 in one day.

The figures reported this Friday by the Minsa raised the total number of infections to accumulated to 206,310.

So I guess 100 men shopping is OK or 100 women shopping is OK but not 50 men and 50 women. Stupid is what government officials dream up

Covid 19 is a fancy name for the flu. The mortality rate, at least here in Florida, is negligent; out of 100 who get the virus, less than two die, and most of those already had one foot and a leg in the grave! Stop the insanity by the pols and the control freaks. All they are doing is prolonging the misery and the economic devastation. Get rid of the fools before it is too late.

Simply astounding. Panama's problems cannot be solved by creating even more and greater problems. Do they actually believe that thrusting Panama even deeper into economic and social depression is going to cause less pain and suffering than the uncontrollable culling caused by the infection?
