The National Migration Service of Panama announced the entry requirements, before the announcement of Costa Rica about the opening of land borders to tourism.
As of next April 5, the granting of visiting area permits to Panamanians and residents will be resumed so that they can go to Costa Rica
under that specified permission, but the daily number of permits to be granted will be delimited.
50 visiting area permits will be granted daily in Paso Canoas and 25 in Río Sereno.
Those interested in visiting Panama must meet the respective customary immigration requirements:
- Have a return land / air ticket
- Economic solvency
- Successfully pass the interview conducted by the immigration inspectors at the window
- Negative swab test for covid
The entity clarified that humanitarian trips, respecting the rules already established, will continue until further notice.
