Panama exceeded 145 thousand cases of coronavirus, reported this Saturday, November 14, the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
In the last 24 hours, the number of new cases was 832, for a cumulative total of 145,309. The health authorities applied 5,521 tests, of which 15.1% were positive.
Meanwhile, 11 people died from the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths from
Covid-19 is 2,867.
According to
Minsa, since last October 12 when international flights were restarted, 202 passengers have been detected who upon entering the country were positive in the
Covid-19 test.
Since Panama reopened the Tocumen international airport, 10,141 tests have been carried out to detect positives, as Panama is one of the few countries that requires a negative
Covid-19 test to enter the national territory, reported the
Minsa.
Meanwhile, active cases amount to 18,171. 17,374 people are reported in home isolation, of which 16,823 are at home and 551 in hotels. The hospitalized number 797 and of them 651 are in the ward and 146 in intensive care units.
