Panama reports 978 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths in 24 hours

According to the epidemiological report of the Minsa, June 19 2021, Panama accumulates 393,144 cases of covid-19 and 6,468 deaths
In the last 24 hours, Panama registered 978 new cases of covid-19 and 2 deaths due to this disease, reported the Ministry of Health ( Minsa ).

A death from a previous date was updated.

In total, Panama accumulates 393,144 cases of covid-19 and 6,468 deaths. The fatality is 1.6%.

13,076 tests were applied to detect covid-19 in the last hours. The positivity is at 7.4%.

To date there are 10,461 active cases and 376,215 recovered patients.

According to the epidemiological report of the Minsa of the total of infected patients there are 9,888 in isolation, of them 9,488 at home and 400 in hospital hotels.

While 573 patients are hospitalized, of which 489 are in the ward and 84 in intensive care units.

Unfortunately it does Realnewz This means cases are steadily increasing again and more restrictions are going to be needed. It does not state how widespread Delta variant is in Panama but I suspect it is. Not good news but reality ..you are misnamed

Panama reports 978 new positive PCR-TEST cases (which does not equal "infected") and 2 deaths in 24 hours, which had nothing to do with any virus infeciton.
