In the last 24 hours, the Minsa reported 381,122 accumulated infections and 6,389 deaths due to COVID-19.
The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health of Panama (
Minsa ) reported this Friday, June 4, that some 915 new cases of
COVID-19 were detected in the country, raising the accumulated infections to 381,122.
In addition, the
Minsa indicates that in the last 24 hours 1 new death was reported, which increased deaths from
coronavirus to 6,389. The virus maintains a case fatality rate of 1.7% in the country.
So far, 367,549 recovered cases have been reported and there are 7,184 active cases in the country.
From this last figure, it is broken down that 6,399 people are confined to their homes and 352 have been accommodated in hospital hotels.
Regarding patients hospitalized in wards, it was detailed that there are 372 and another 61 are confined in intensive care units, after having contracted the virus.
In the last hours the authorities applied some 12,561 new tests, which yielded a positivity of 7.2%
