The Minsa reports that 478 patients are hospitalized in the ward and 101 are in intensive care units due to COVID-19.
For this August 6 in Panama there are 895 new infections of
COVID-19, which rises to 440,494 the accumulated number of cases.
In addition, the country registers a total of 6,885 deaths due to
coronavirus, with 10 new deaths and a fatality rate of 1.6%.
The Ministry of Health of Panama (
Minsa) reports that 478 patients are hospitalized in the ward and another 101 are in intensive care units.
The epidemiological report reflects that to date some 422,467 people have been recovered from the
coronavirus.
On the other hand, a total of 11,142 cases of
COVID-19 remain active, of which 10,251 remain in isolation at home and 312 are in hospital hotels.
The
Minsa adds that in the last 24 hours a total of 9,815 new tests have been carried out to detect
COVID-19, and the positivity rate in the country is currently 9.1%.
