The Minsa reports 7 new deaths and 2 from previous dates, totaling 6,894 deaths due to COVID-19 in Panama.
Panama registered a total of 822 new cases of
COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, raising the number of infections to 441,316, as reported by the Ministry of Health (
Minsa).
According to the epidemiological report of this Saturday, August 7, 7 new deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours and two (2) from previous dates, which increased deaths from
coronavirus to 6,894. The virus maintains a fatality of 2.1% in the country.
So far, 423,519 recovered cases have been counted and there are 10,903 active cases in the country.
To date, 10,269 tests have been applied, for a percentage of positivity of 8%.
Of the total number of active patients, 10,349 people are reported in home isolation, of which 10,041 are at home and 308 in hotels.
While the hospitalized number 554 and of them 453 are in the ward and 101 in the ICU.
