After reporting a total of 715 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, Panama raised its number of infections to 350,220, as reported by the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
According to the epidemiological report of this Friday, March 19, about 9 new deaths have been registered in the last 24 hours and one (1) death from a previous date has been updated, raising its number of deaths from
COVID-19 to 6,035.
The case fatality of the virus is 1.7%.
To date, 10,580 tests have been applied, for a percentage of positivity of 6.7% and 745 recovered patients have been reported.
Active cases total 5,440. In home isolation, 4,707 people are reported, of which 4,502 are at home and 205 in hotels.
The report adds that there are 733 hospitalized and of them 634 are in the ward and 99 in the ICU.
