Panama reports 676 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths in 24 hours

To date, there are a total of 441,134 recovered patients and 456,203 accumulated cases of COVID-19 in Panama.
After reporting a total of 676 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, Panama raised its number of infections to 456,203, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, 4 new deaths were reported, totaling 7,043 deaths from this virus in the country. The fatality rate remains at 1.5%.

10,388 new tests were carried out to detect COVID-19, for a percentage of positivity of 6.5%.

There are a total of 441,134 recovered and 8,026 active cases.

Of the total active cases, there are 7,644 people are in isolation, of which 7,415 are at home and 229 in hotels; while 382 patients are hospitalized, of them 284 in ward and 98 in intensive care.

Despite the fact that Panama is in the process of vaccination against COVID-19, the use of masks continues to be essential as they represent protection above 80%.

Since we all now know that the coronavirus is no more dangerous than a normal flu virus. What would have happened if Minsa hadn't done anything? Would we then have more deaths to mourn today?
No, but the pharmaceutical industry would not have made the extreme profits.
